Uncle Fredrick
Tribute to Uncle Fredrick Rocker; my uncle passed two days ago. As I reflect I find that my strongest and most consistent memory of him is through my Mother, Helena Rocker Munn (the oldest of his sisters) that she loved him dearly. This Christian based love is spoken of often in acts of kindness but not often witnessed through the duration of a lifetime. I really didn’t know my Uncle Fredrick very well and would be a poor choice to give a eulogy yet I’m compelled to witness today that my Mother loved him unconditionally and to know my Uncle through her led to memories of how she loved his family even when my cousins were about mischief it seemed only to brighten her day giving her relief from her often tedious daily routine. Mother loved her brother, she loved his family; I don’t know about the passing of time in heaven, in eternity, but I do know Mother welcomed her brother with open arms and full of love. Philippians 4;13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
