Dear Kathleen: I am very sorry about your mother's death. A very belated but very sincere condolence to you and your family at this sad time. She was a lovely woman: her obituary photo showed very well how attractive she was. And the obituary showed that she had a sterling character as well as surface good looks. I'm sorry I never got to know her personally during her very long and productive life. I am Bob Lalli. I worked with you at the Utica Public Library in 1983, almost 40 years ago! I still work there part-time now. I remember you worked in Technical services with me at that time. I also remember you as saying that my late mother's cakes, of which she often shared with Library staff were "sinfully delicious!". Lucille, so vibrant, so passionate and engaging. Quick witted and expressive, in such stark contrast to my stoic mother, she illuminated my little world. She loved to feed me and I loved being fed, because she was so enthusiastic about my hearty appetite.Feeling appreciation for her, and sad at her passing. Please accept my sincere condolences.
