Obituary of Sharon M. Karlen

West Leyden – Sharon M. Karlen, 74, of William Ernst Road, passed away in the comfort of her home on Friday, February 11, 2022, while under the loving care of her family and Lewis County Hospice. Sharon was born in Fulton, on July 13, 1947, a daughter of Robert and Betty Dunham Sagehorn. She grew up in Fulton and Baldwinsville, where she was a graduate of Baldwinsville Academy. In 1983, Sharon had relocated to St. Augustine, Florida, where she worked in accounting. In 1985, she was married to Jim Karlen, who has predeceased her. In 2011, she relocated to West Leyden, where she has since lived. Sharon is survived by her sons: Rob (Lilli) Dougherty, and Raymond Champion, both of West Leyden, 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law: Roxanne Champion, Lee Center. She was predeceased by her son Michael Champion in 2020, and her daughter Bobbi Jo Ogorman in 2003. In keeping with Sharon’s wishes there will be a celebration of life in July. There will be no calling hours. Funeral Arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
