Glenfield – JoAnne M. (Baslow) Williams, 50, of Greig Road, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020 at Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville.
JoAnne was born on January 5, 1970 in Lowville a daughter of Richard O. and Joan M. Kornatowski Baslow. She grew up in Port Leyden and received her education at Port Leyden Central School. For a time she was married to Harvey G. Williams and later the couple was divorced. JoAnne was employed through the years at Rome Cable Co. and also Family Dollar Distribution Center, both of Rome.
JoAnne enjoyed taking care of her home. She enjoyed changing rooms around and making things fresh and new. She had a knack for gardening and was excellent at taking care of her houseplants. Family was of the utmost importance to JoAnne and she cherished the time spent with her daughters and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters: Melissa Williams(Josh Millard), Constableville, Tiffany Williams(Chase Nagy), Glenfield; grandchildren: Emily, Joshua Jr., and Matthew Millard, Gabrielle, Anthony, Payslee, and Beau Nagy; her companion Bruce Williams, Glenfield, mother Joan Baslow, Port Leyden; siblings: Rick (Rhonda) Baslow, Port Leyden, Angela Baslow, Lyons Falls, and David Baslow, Port Leyden. She was predeceased by her father Richard O. Baslow on August 19, 2015, and sister Mary Lynn Baslow on December 24, 2001.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, at 1:00 pm in Calvary Cemetery, Port Leyden, with Rev. Lawrence Marullo officiating. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 10am until 12 Noon at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis County Humane Society, P.O.
