Saturday, February 2, 2019My condolences to the Wagoner family as we have lost an inspiration in the fair industry. I owe my career to Newell as he first coached me into helping paint the hub rail and stuff children's day envelopes for the Boonville Fair in 1973. Who would have imagined that it would lead me to be the MC for the fair and then an associate member. That is where at a young age my parents took me to the fair each year to see the auto thrill shows. That was the catalyst, along with Newell, that set my path to be the owner of the last nationally sponsored thrill show in America. Newell, Evelyn and I talked many times about how I got my start at the Boonville fair. Newell Wagoner changed my like forever and I will never forget the inspiration, guidance and support he afforded me over the years.

Monday, December 17, 2018Newell Wagoner is gone but his memory will live on in the hearts of so many of us who came to know him. The lkes of him will not come this way again. He was without a doubt one of a kind. He had an amazing passion for people from every walk of life as well as a love of the Boonville fair and the entire fair industry. Our fair industry was all the better because of his local, state and national leadership. He was my mentor, and inspiration and it was a privilege of a lifetime to know him as a friend. A day will not pas with out great memories of him. May he rest in the peace he so deserves.
