Utica – William E. Roelands, 57, of Grey Ave. passed away unexpectedly on October 25, 2020. William was born on April 20, 1963 in Utica, a son of Edward F. and Geraldine Seitz Roelands. He grew up in Utica where he received his education. William then moved to Stone Mt., Georgia where he worked in the construction field as an iron worker. William then moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he worked as an electricians apprentice and also as a chef. In 2006 he moved back to Utica, where he continued working in local restaurants. William was a history buff and through the years enjoyed coin collecting. He will be fondly remembered for telling the greatest jokes. William is survived by his daughter Danielle Roelands-Williams and her husband Donald, Cleveland, OH, grandson Edward James Williams, his mother Geraldine Wiediger, and brother Richard Wiediger. He was predeceased by his step-father “Mutz” Weidiger. In keeping with his wishes all services will be held privately.
