William J. Muha

Boonville- William J. Muha, 64, a life-long Boonville area resident, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at St. Lukes Memorial Hospital, New Hartford. Affectionately known as Billy, he was born in Constableville, on April 30, 1955, a son of William E. and Venita Kranbuhl Muha. Billy grew up on Woodgate Drive in Boonville, receiving his education at Adirondack Central School, graduating with the Class of 1973. While in high school, he greatly enjoyed participating in the musical Oklahoma. During his high school years and thereafter, he was employed for Ronald Cyr, at Adirondack Oil Co. and Sunoco Gas Station. Later for over 40 years, he was employed in the copper casting department of Revere Copper & Brass Co. Rome, retiring in 2018. In 1977, Billy married Debi Waszkiewicz; later the couple was divorced. For several years, Billy was a member of the Boonville Fire Company and the Boonville Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed participating on various soft ball teams and bowled for many years on the Night Owl League, teams which consisted of his co-workers from Revere, who bowled Friday mornings, after working the night shift. Billy possessed a kind and gentle nature which extended into his great love and concern for all animals; he found much joy in caring for stray cats and dogs and feeding deer. He greatly loved his dog, Lox. Billy is survived by his children; Glen (Melissa) Muha, Jeff (Christina) Muha, all of Boonville; grandchildren, Alex, Andrew, Garrett and Graham; two sisters, Cindy (Steve) Pfendler, Boonville, Lori Croneiser, Boonville; two brothers, Mark Muha and James Muha, both of Boonville; several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Venita, in 1974, his father, William, in 1989, and a brother in law, Mike Croneiser, in 2016. His Funeral will be on Saturday, at 12 Noon at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., where Rev. Thomas A. Ward, pastor of Christ Our Hope Parish, Boonville, will officiate. Interment will be in Boonville Cemetery. Calling hours are Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral service at the funeral home.
