~~Glenfield- William J. Burmingham, 66, State Rt. 12, a former resident of Turin, passed away in the comfort of his home, on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Affectionately known as Jaws, he was born in Lowville, on April 1, 1951, a son of William R. and Evelyn J. Dorrity Burmingham. He grew up in Turin, where he graduated from South Lewis Senior High School, with the Class of 1969. Thereafter, he was employed at Georgia Pacific Paper Co. Lyons Falls; later for many years he was employed as a carpenter for Law Bros. Construction Co. Lyons Falls, Cianbro Construction Co., Pittsfield, ME and as a self-employed carpenter in home remodeling in the Turin area. He was a life member of Turin Volunteer Fire Co. and greatly enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, reading and cooking. He is survived by one son, Christopher J. Burmingham and Ava Myers, Constableville; one daughter, Ericka (Neil) McCaw, West Lake, TX; siblings, Kay Ann (George) Bittner, Cleveland, NY, Nancy Bauer, Greig and Thomas (Julie) Burmingham, Turin and a brother in law, John Duncan, Constableville. In additions to his parents, William and Evelyn, he was predeceased by a sister, Annette Duncan, a brother, Dennis Mike Burmingham and his longtime companion, Pauli Perkins and by a brother in law, Eric Bauer. A memorial service will be Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at 5:00 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where visitation hours will be from 3-5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Turin Fire Department, North State St. Turin, NY 13473.
