William A. Fayle

William A. Fayle passed away peacefully at home on April 10, 2023 after a lengthy illness that he fought valiantly to overcome He was surrounded by friends and family.


Bill was born April 11, 1963 in Smithtown, NY the son of Harold A. and Dorothy C. Fayle. He graduated from South Lewis Central School with the Class of 1981 and from Suny Delhi in 1983 with an Associate’s degree in civil engineering. He began his 40-year career in the construction industry and worked for Ballard Construction, Gallo Bros., Rifenburg construction and at the time of his death was employed by Marcy Excavation Services as a project manager.


Bill is survived by his children: Megan and Sean “Jack” Fayle, sister Dot (Greg) Fiori, sister in law Karin Fayle, Brothers: Tom (Barbara), Joe (Teresa), and John. Also surviving are 13 nephews and nieces, and many great and great great nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents and his big brother Al.


Bill loved his home at Fayle’s Funny Farm, Raising Beef Cows and various other livestock. He greatly loved his country, the outdoors, music, and kids of all ages. Billy was known for his sayings: His favorite and the one he lived by: “life aint no ride on no pink duck”.


His family is eternally grateful for the help that his many friends have given

them over the term of his illness; they know who they are.


His calling hours will be held at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville on Thursday April 13, from 1-4 and 6-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 12:00 Noon at St. Peter’s Church, Shady Ave. Lowville, NY. Interment will follow at Sands Cemetery, Greig. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital P.O. Box #1000, Dept. #142, Memphis, TN 38101, or Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite #300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
