Wilhelmina K. Kornatowski

Floyd- Wilhelmina (Korman) Kornatowski, 89, of Rickmyer Road, Town of Floyd and formerly of Crofoot Hill Road, Constableville, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020, at Colonial Park Nursing Home, Rome, while surrounded by the loving care of her family. Wilhelmina was born in Thorpe, Pennsylvania, on August 3, 1930, a daughter of Albert and Josephine Bujno Korman. She grew up in the vicinity of Thorpe, Pa. Later she moved with her family to Detroit, MI, before moving to Port Leyden. On September 10, 1949, Wilhelmina was united in marriage with Daniel W. Kornatowski, at St. Mary's church, Constableville. After their marriage the couple settled on the Kornatowski homestead farm on the Crofoot Hill Road, near Constableville. The couple operated this farm from 1949, until 2003, when they relocated to the Town of Floyd. Mr. Kornatowski, passed away on May 10, 2006. Mrs. Kornatowski was first employed at Lally Mfg. Company, Port Leyden, before employment for many years as a food technician at Kraft Foods of Lowville, NY. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Constableville, and a longtime member of St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society. She was an excellent cook and also enjoyed gardening. For many years, Wilhelmina was an avid bowler and was well known for her excellent bowling on several Constableville area bowling teams, at the former Constableville Bowling Alley. Wilhelmina is survived by five daughters and two sons in law; Theresa A. Oatman, Rome, Anne M. Northam, Rome, Katherine E. Eldred, Baldwinsville, Carol (Richard) Buczek, Rome, Christine M. (Ronald) Kotary, Constablevville. She was predeceased by two sons in law; Robert Oatman and Jim Northam. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Michael Kornatowski, Nicholas Eldred, Danielle Kiefer, Richard "Rick" Buczek, Kaitlyn Kotary and Daniel Kotary, one great grandson, Connor Reynolds; one brother and sister in law, William (Judy) Korman, Ballston Spa and two sisters, Madeline Lipe, Rome and Lillian (Isadore) Paluck, Constableville. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Korman, in 1970 and by a brother in law, Gene Lipe. A prayer service will be Monday at 10:00 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M., at St. Mary's Church, Constableville, with Rev. Lawrence Marullo, pastor as celebrant. Interment will be in the spring, at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Constableville. Calling hours are Sunday 2-4 P.M. at the funeral home.
