Boonville- Walter F. Denslow, 54, of LaChausse Road, husband of Bonnie, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2006, at Faxton-St. Lukeï¿(TM)s Memorial Hospital, New Hartford, after a long illness. Walter was born in Utica, on April 10, 1952, a son of Cecil H. and Catherine Lambert Denslow. He grew up on the North Lake Road in Forestport, and attended Forestport Central School through 10th grade. He graduated from Adirondack Senior High School, Boonville, with the Class of 1970. On September 25, 1971, Walter was united in marriage with Bonnie L. Wood at the Masonic Home Chapel, at Round Lake, Woodgate. In 1976, the couple moved to their present home on LaChausse Road. For thirty years, Mr. Denslow owned and operated the NAPA Auto Parts Store on Main St. in Boonville. A focal part of Waltï¿(TM)s live was his untiring, and constant service to the Forestport Fire Fighters, and then to the Boonville Fire Company, and Ambulance Service. From 1976 until 1990, Mr. Denslow served as President of Boonville Fire Co., and during that time he became an EMT, and volunteered his services for many years in ambulance service to this area. He was a member of St. Patrickï¿(TM)s Church of Forestport, where during his youth he served as an Altar Boy. Walt was also an honorary member of Boonville Fire Co. He greatly loved people, and throughout his life his predominate interest was in helping his fellow man in what ever way possible. In addition to his wife, Bonnie L. Denslow, he is survived by one daughter, Ashley L. Denslow, at home, one sister, Patricia Schmelzle, Forestport, three nephews; Alan Schmelzle, Forestport, Brian Schmelzle, Kenneth City, Fla., Doug Altrock, Forestport, one niece, Donna Altrock, Boonville, one great niece, Christina Domser, and one great nephew Kyle Altrock. His family wishes to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to St. Lukeï¿(TM)s Hospital I.C.U. Staff and Doctors, who gave him such wonderful care, and to his Dialysis team who were like family to him. His funeral will be Wednesday at 9:15 AM at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc, 143 Schuyler St. and at 10:00 A.M. at St. Josephï¿(TM)s Church, both in Boonville, where Rev. Fr. Donald H. Karlen, Pastor will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Josephï¿(TM)s Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday (tonight) 7-9 P.M. and Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Boonville Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, P.O.
