Boonville - "Tony" Douque, 51, native and life long resident of Boonville, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2021, at his home. He was born on May 18, 1970 the son of William Douque and Carol (Pfendler) Douque at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital, New Hartford. Tony graduated from Adirondack Central School with the Class of 1988, thereafter he attended Clarkson University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management. Following graduation, he worked for the NYS Parks Service, RGIS Inventory Management Specialists and most recently as a Government Account Specialist at the Lodging Kit Company, Boonville New York. In his early years, Tony was an avid cyclist and accomplished Cross-Country ski racer. He competed as a nordic ski racer in the NYS Empire State Games in Lake Placid and Nationals with the Division I Clarkson Ski Team. He enjoyed watching classic action movies and participated in numerous outdoor activities that included fishing, downhill skiing, 4-wheeling and camping to name a few. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with friends, telling stories and cheering for the Utica Comets. Tony was a kind generous person and fiercely independent. He was loved by many and will be missed. He is survived by his father Bill Douque, Port Orange, FL, beloved aunts; Mary Louise Witt and Phyllis Pfendler, both of Boonville and Susan Purdy, Englewood, CO, cousins; Mike Witt (Mary),Makayla Louise, Alexandria Bay, William Purdy, Denver, CO, Linda Purdy, Denver, CO, Erin Pfendler, Clinton, NY, Lauren Pfendler, Colorado Springs, CO, and their families. He is also survived by his many lifelong friends from Boonville and his fraternity, Tau Epsilon Phi. Half-siblings; Cassie Douque Rodkey, Norman OK, William Douque, OK, and Terry Douque Deveney, Salida, CO. Tony was predeceased by his mother, Carol (Pfendler) Douque and uncle Jerome Pfendler. A visitation for family and friends in memory of Tony, will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, from 6:30 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
