Hawkinsville- Violet F. Earl, a long time resident of Millers Woods Road, widow of Charles, Sr., passed away while surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Boonville, where she had resided since August, 2012. She was born in Toronto Canada, on August 1, 1922, a daughter of Jesse J. and Alice M. French Bennett. Violet grew up in Canada, later moving to the state of New Hampshire with her parents, where she graduated from high school in Whitefield, N.H. On January 14, 1942, she was united in marriage with Charles F. Earl, Sr., at the home of the Bride in New Hampshire. At that time her husband was serving in the U.S. Army in the European Theater of WWII; upon his honorable discharge from the military in 1945, the couple settled in Boonville, before living on Millers Woods Road, near Hawkinsville for over 50 years. Mr. Earl, a retiree of Eastern Rock Products Co. of Middleville, died on September 9, 1994. Mrs. Earl was a long time active member of the Hawkinsville United Methodist Church, serving as pianist, Sunday school teacher and on Church committees. She was a loving wife to Charles, and a loving mother and grandmother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Violet greatly enjoying working at the election polls, crocheting and she was an avid reader. She is survived by four sons and daughters in law, Stephen C. and Cheri, Hawkinsville, Charles A. and Linda, Port Leyden, Gary L. and Margie, and Timothy H. and Karen, all of Hawkinsville and Sue Harriet Casey, Woodate. She was predeceased by a daughter, Rosemary A. Sirois, on December 13, 1988, and by a grandson, Stanley Sirois, on November 15, 2008. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends. Her services will be on Wednesday, at 1 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with a visitation hour to begin at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Hayes Cemetery, Hawkinsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hawkinsville United Methodist Church.
