Ava - Vincent J. Nittiskie, 57, of Flint Town Road, husband of Debra, passed away peacefully, at his residence on Sunday, November 20, 2016. Vincent was born in Poughkeepsie, on February 21, 1959, a son of Edward and Lucille Curran Nittiskie. His younger life was spent in Poughkeepsie, where he graduated from high school, with the Class of 1977. In 1978, Vincent began serving his country by entering the U.S. Airforce and was first assigned to Davis-Monthan Airforce Base, Tucson, AZ, where he met the love of his life, Debra Hardy. Vincent and Debra were married on January 11, 1980. In the ensuing years he was stationed in Turkey, Homestead, Fla, Fairbanks, AK, Griffiss Air Force Base, Rome, Okinawa, before retiring as Weapons Technician from Griffiss Air Force Base, Rome. Sgt. Nittiskie was called to wartime duty while serving in Turkey, and in August 1990, to Desert Shield/Desert Storm, serving in Saudi Arabia. He was promoted to rank of Technical Sergeant in 1993, and was honorably discharged from Griffiss Air Force, Rome, in 1995. Thereafter, Mr. Nittiskie was employed for several years at Walmart Service Center, Marcy, and at Bailey's Feed Mill, Boonville. In 1996, the couple moved to Flint Town Road, where they founded and greatly enjoyed operating Twin Pines Farm, where they raised beef cattle. Vincent was a free spirited man who loved spending time with his wife and family, and being outdoors. He greatly enjoyed pheasant hunting, gardening and fishing. He will be fondly remembered as a person who had a huge heart, who was always willing and happy to lend a hand to anyone in need. In addition to his wife, Debra, he is survived by two sons, Vincent L. (Sarah) Deerfield, Joseph A. ( Brandy), Lee Center; three grandchildren, Hayden, Madalynne and Aubrie; his mother, Lucille, Millbrook, NY and one brother, Stanley (Betty Rae), Millbrook. He was predeceased by his father, Edward and brothers, Edward and Joseph. Services will be private at the convenience of his family; there will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association 120 Lomond Court, Utica, NY 13502. His arrangements are entrusted to Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
