Victoria J. (O'Brien) Barrows, 41, affectionately known as "Vickie Jo," wife of Timmy, passed away suddenly at Lewis Co. General Hospital, Lowville, on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Vickie Jo was born in Watertown, on June 4, 1970, a daughter of Thomas G. and Mary Anne Stoffle O'Brien. She grew up on Highmarket Road, attending Constableville Elementary School, graduating from South Lewis Senior High School, Turin, with the Class of 1988. After that she studied business courses at MVCC, Utica. She was employed as a waitress at Slims Restaurant, Boonville, and at the Croghan Diner. On March 3, 1990, Vickie Jo was united in marriage with Timmy A. Barrows, at St. Mary's Church, Constableville. Afterwards the couple settled in East Martinsburg, where Mr. Barrows was employed at the Marks Farm. They moved to Highmarket in 1995. In the fall of 1998, the couple founded Barrows Sled Shop, located on Michigan Mills Road, later changing the name to Barrows Performance, engaging in the business of repairing and selling parts and accessories for snowmobiles and all terrain vehicles. They also rented snowmobiles and ATVs. Mrs. Barrows was employed as office manager. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Constableville. Vickie Jo greatly enjoyed cooking, baking, reading and holidays, especially Christmas and spending time with her family. She had great affection for her pets; Gracie, Daisy and Abby. In addition to her husband, Timmy, she is survived by her children: Ashley Nichole Barrows, at home, Matthew Thomas Barrows, Turin, Timothy John "T.J." Barrows, and Hannah Mary Barrows, both at home, her parents, Thomas and Mary Anne O'Brien, Highmarket; two sisters, Mary A. O'Brien, Highmarket, and Susie L.(Michael) Arrigo, Port Leyden; and nephews, Justin O'Brien, Nicholas, Joseph and Samuel Arrigo; her aunts, Dorothy Ehlers, Lyons Falls, Joanne O'Brien, Oneida, Jeanne Marie O'Brien, Constableville, Ruth Lamont, Chases Lake and many cousins. She was predeceased by her "favorite Aunt Sue," Suzanne Stoffle. Her Funeral will be Saturday at 8:30 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, and at 9:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Church, Constableville, where Rev. Lawrence Marullo, pastor, will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Constableville. Calling hours are Friday 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
