Tyler Jeffrey Moroughan

December 3, 1992 — February 14, 2023

Glenfield/Martinsburg – Tyler Jeffrey Moroughan, 30, went to be with his Grandpa Arthur P. Moroughan on February 14, 2023.


Tyler was born on December 3, 1992 at Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville, the son of Jeffrey A. Moroughan, Glenfield, NY, and Angela Borders Young, Florida. He graduated from Lowville Academy and Central School with the Class of 2011. Tyler most recently worked for Kraft-Heinz, and had also been employed in construction, as well as for Slack Chemical, Simmons Tree Farm, Tom Eaves Dairy Farm, and John Ross Dairy Farm.


Tyler loved to draw and was an amazing artist. He had recently began working on chainsaws. He enjoyed throwing darts, skateboarding, snowboarding, riding dirt bikes, snowmobiling, and many other outdoor activities. Tyler had an enormous heart of gold, and was always willing to be there for anyone who needed a helping hand. He will be fondly remembered for his humor. He was a prankster, jokester, and made sure to make you laugh right along with him. He cherished the time spent with family and friends, and was a proud member of the Tug Hill NRA.


Tyler is survived by his canine best friend Dozer, his parents, paternal grandmother “Grannie” Andrea J. Moroughan, Glenfield, his half-brothers: Zackary Young, Carthage, Cody Young, Watertown; Aunts and Uncle: Colleen Moroughan, Texas, and Tammy and Neil Mahoney, Glenfield, special cousins: Briona Mahoney, Glenfield and Madison Green, Texas, several other aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.


He was predeceased by his Grandpa Arthur P. Moroughan, and many other relatives.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at the Living Hope Ministries, Kuntz Road, Glenfield, NY 13343, where visitation hours will be on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. All are invited to attend a luncheon and share stories about Tyler’s life at the church, following his services.


Memorial Contributions may be made to Living Hope Ministries, Kuntz Road, Glenfield, NY 13343, or to a charity of your choice. His arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
