Boonville- Tracey Benedict Abdullah, 43, of Boonville, wife of Shareef, passed away while surrounded her loving husband and family at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital, New Hartford, on Friday, February 26, 2021. Tracey was born in Lowville, on October 26, 1977, a daughter of David and Donna Larrabee Benedict. She grew up on the East Road near Turin and graduated from South Lewis Senior High School, Turin, with the Class of 1995. While in high school, Tracey also attended the Howard G. Sackett Technical Center, at Glenfield. Thereafter she continued her education at Herkimer County Community College earning an Associate Degree in Travel and Tourism. During the summer of 1997, Tracey was chosen to work on an internship at Walt Disney World, Orlando, FL. After graduating from Herkimer Community College, she was employed as a Flight Attendant for American Airlines, based out of Miami, FL, on traveling on international flights. Later Tracey met and married Ryan Bush, together they lived in Fairbanks Alaska for several years. While living in Alaska their two children were born; Zoe Bush and Hunter Bush. Later Tracey and Ryan were divorced. Later while living in Fairbanks, Tracey met Shareef Abdullah and they were married on January 3, 2015, in Fairbanks. In 2018, the couple relocated to Boonville, where they have since lived. While in high school, Tracey enjoyed playing soccer and volley ball; she greatly enjoyed watching pro football and hockey. She was a Dallas Cowboys Football Team fan and a NY Rangers Hockey Team fan. In addition to her husband, Shareef, Tracey is survived by her parents, David and Donna Benedict, Port Leyden; her children, Zoe Bush, and Hunter Bush, both of Brantingham; a step daughter, Ashanti Abdullah, TX; two sisters, Kimberly (Scott) Coleman, Blossvale, Danielle Benedict, Boonville; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and several cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Gordon and Amanda Larrabee; paternal grandparents, Miles and Elizabeth Benedict. Services will be held in the spring at the convenience of her family. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413. Her arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, NY.
