Camden- Todd R. Prime, 28, of Penny Mix Road, husband of Heidi, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013. He was born in Albany, on October 15, 1984, a son of Robert J. and Shannon M. Van Brink Prime. Todd grew up in Richfield Springs, where he graduated from high school with the Class of 2003. After that he continued his education at the Divers Academy, of Camden, NJ, where he earned a certificate of a Commercial Diver in underwater welding and construction. Thereafter Todd was employed for several contracting firms that specialized in underwater welding and construction; at the present time he was employed for Dryden Diving Co. of Woolrich, NJ, currently working on a project at the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant in Buchannan, NY. On October 2, 2010, Todd was united in marriage with his best friend, Heidi L. VonMatt, at Schuyler Lake, NY. After that the couple lived in Lee Center, moving to Camden last year. Todd always had a great love and enjoyment of being in water and the outdoors. He loved swimming, boating, knee boarding, and had begun scuba diving at age 12. He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and feeding and helping to heal injured animals. He loved hiking camping and sharing time with his many loved ones around a camp fire. He had a deep love for his dogs, "Copper, Malie and Grady." Another activity that Todd enjoyed was football; he began playing on a peewee football team, during his high school years he was designated as an All Star Player on the Indians Football Team, and was the recipient of the "Iron Man" Football Award, for his outstanding high school football career. He also participated on the high school wrestling team. In addition to his wife, Heidi, Todd is survived by his parents, Robert J. and Shannon M. Prime, Richfield Springs; one brother, Nathan R. Prime, Richfield Springs and his paternal grandmother, Genevieve Prime, Cherry Valley, NY. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Cecil Prime, and by his maternal grandparents, Tim and Jean Van Brink. Also surviving are his beloved nephews, Troy and Finn Von Matt; his nieces, Vanora and Ryleigh Von Matt, whom he loved playing and spending time with; his aunts and uncles, Frank Van Brink and his companion Vira Mycio, Somerville, NJ, Bruce Van Brink, and his companion, Wendy Willsey, Cooperstown, Susan (James) Wengenack, Delanson, NY; and one uncle and two aunts on his father's family side, Terry and Sharlene Prime, Cherry Valley, Brenda and Richard Fredriksen, East Springfield, NY, and Nadine and Joseph Germond, Masonville, NY; several cousins; his mother and father in law, Ted and Diana Von Matt, Lee Center; two brothers and sisters in law, Jason and Miranda Von Matt, Lee Center, Jared and Lauren Von Matt, Sherrill; his grandmother in law, Mrs. Arlene Ernst, West Leyden; and her sons, Scott, West Leyden and Kim, Holland Patent. Visitation hours will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Interment arrangements are private.
