Timothy M. Lampman

Boonville- Timothy M. Lampman, 71, of Post St. passed away suddenly at St. Elizabeths Medical Center, Utica, on Friday, April 27, 2018. Affectionately known as Timmy, he was born in Gloversville, on January 3, 1947, a son of Clarence and Marian Ilnicki Lampman, Jr. He grew up in Gloversville, later moving with his family to the East Road, near Boonville. Tim received his education at Port Leyden Central School, where he graduated from high school, with the Class of 1964. In 1966, Mr. Lampman entered the U.S. Army, serving his country, while stationed in Germany, during the Viet Nam War. He was honorably discharged at Ft. Dix, NJ, with the rank of PFC E3, on April 11, 1968. Thereafter he served in the US Army Reserves until his honorable discharge in May, 1972. From 1972, until his retirement as Field Superintendent, Mr. Lampman was employed as an Iron Worker for Local 440, Iron Workers, Utica, NY. During that time he was employed in various construction projects at the Turning Stone Casino, Verona, and at many major road and building construction projects in Central New York. Timmy was also employed as an Iron Worker for E.J. Construction Co. Liverpool, NY, at the Flat Rock Wind Mill Project, at Martinsburg, NY. On July 20, 1968, Tim was united in marriage with Linda M. Andrews, at the Boonville United Methodist Church. Linda passed away on August 1, 2006. Mr. Lampman was a member of the Boonville United Methodist Church, Charles J. Love Post # 406, American Legion, Boonville, Boonville Elks Lodge, # 2158 and Iron Workers Local 440, Utica, NY. He excelled at playing golf at bowling and playing on area softball teams and also greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting and camping with his family. He greatly enjoyed playing the game of Quickdraw, with his friends. Tim is survived by one son, Mark L. Lampman, Boonville; one daughter, Kimberley A. Lampman, Utica; three granddaughters, Corissa Occhipinti, Nicole Lampman and Amberdawn Lampman, several great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters in law, Wayne (Teresa) Lampman, Boonville Chris (Laurie) Ricci, Boonville; his mother in law, Beverly Andrews, Boonville; sisters and brothers in law and spouses, James (Janice) Andrews, Jr. William (Mindy) Andrews, Peggy (Brad) Dale, Jeffrey and Michael Andrews and their significant others and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Linda, Tim was predeceased by his parents and by his step mother, Margaret Lampman; a sister, Lucretia Lampman Conn and her husband, Robert, his father in law, J. Orin Andrews, Sr., brothers in law, Charles J. Andrews and Lawrence R. Andrews and by his favorite canine friend, Pepper. His Funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with interment to follow in Boonville Cemetery, where members of Charles J. Love Post # 406 American Legion, Harland J. Hennessey Post VFW, and the Tun Tavern Marine Corps League will render Military Rites. Calling hours are Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home, where members of the aforementioned veterans groups will meet for a visitation in a group at 6:30 P.M. Members of Boonville Elks Lodge # 2158, will meet for services on Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
