Theodore W. Valenti

Constableville- Theodore W. Valenti, 70, of Main St. and husband of Dorothy, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville. Affectionately known as Ted, he was born in Utica, on June 6, 1949, a son of Dominick and Mary LaBuz Valenti, graduated from Utica Free Academy, and attended Montgomery County Community College. He was united in marriage with Dorothy Urban on August 27, 1974 at Holy Trinity Church and they lived together in Utica, NY until moving further upstate in 1981 to Constableville for a more rural life. Ted was employed for his faculties in management and sales for several companies including McDonald's, Pitney Bowes, and Home Depot. He was heavily involved in the local community as an active member of the Constableville United Methodist Church and Constableville Library Board; plus prior experiences as a Village of Constableville Trustee, coach for South Lewis Youth 8-man Football Team, and C-Ville Little League. In addition to his loving wife Dorothy Valenti of 46 years, Ted is survived and will be longingly remembered by his daughter Mary Brooks and her husband James Brooks of Lee Center, NY, his son Dominick Valenti and his wife Kaitlyn Valenti of Holland Patent, NY, and his son Dr. Theodore Valenti Jr. and his wife Sheena Valenti of Greensboro, NC as well as his two grandsons Kaiden Brooks and Michael Valenti of whom which he often expressed his pride. Ted loved the tranquility of nature and at home he enjoyed gardening and spending time on his front porch watching birds with his beloved dogs Buster, Gomer, and Champ. He loved playing Texas Hold Em' and watching horses at the Vernon Downs Track, but his most content times were spent with family at his Pleasant Lake Camp in West Carthage NY. Ted touched many lives with his generosity, compassion, and fabulous cooking ability and he will be thoroughly missed as a loving husband, father and friend. In keeping with Ted's wishes there will be no services. Arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
