Taberg - Theodore "Ted" Charosia, 92, of Sheehan Road passed away on Monday, June 1, 2009, at Lewis County Extended Care Facility in Lowville where he had resided since May. He was born in Buffalo on January 9, 1917, to Peter and Mary Jaros Harosia. He moved to the Taberg area as a youth. Ted retired from Pettibone Manufacturing Co. in Rome after working for several years a welder. He also operated his own dairy farm on Sheehan Road for many years. On February 8, 1941, Ted was united in marriage with Elizabeth Kaun at St. Patrick's Church in Taberg. She died on September 11, 2005. He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Percival and husband, Jerry of Sparta, GA, and Betty Hagen of Warner Robins, GA; five grandchildren, Scott Percival and his wife, Deborah of MD, Terence Percival and his wife, Wanda of GA, Richard Percival of NJ, Jon Hagen of GA, and Lisa Addington of TX; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Harosia of Canastota; a sister, Frances Boncella of Taberg; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Edward, and a sister, Bertha Vaughn. His Funeral will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street, Boonville, where Rev. William A. Mudge, pastor of the Boonville United Methodist Church will officiate. Visitation is on Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Town of Lee. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
