Theodore J. '"Ted"' Brinkerhoff

Boonville - Theodore J. "Ted" Brinkerhoff, 49, formerly a resident of West Street and currently residing at the Loretto Center in Utica, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford, after a long illness. Mr. Brinkerhoff was born in Tonawanda on February 20, 1960 to Eri W. and Luella Weiler Brinkerhoff, Sr. He grew up in the Lyons Falls, Constableville, and Boonville areas, and graduated from Adirondack Senior High School in the Class of 1980. While in high school he also attended the Howard B. Sackett B.O.C.E.S. Center in Glenfield. He greatly enjoyed woodcrafting and attending Lewis County Opportunities in Lowville, walking, and visiting the Boonville Village Square. Ted was of the Catholic faith. He is survived by five brothers, Robert M. of Boonville, Phillip J. and his wife, Barbara, of Floyd, Richard P. and his wife, Neila, of King of Prussia, PA, Bert C. and his wife, Lisa, of Manlius, and Eri W. and his fianc, Heather, of Falls Church, VA; two sisters, Gail Marie Smolinski and her husband, William, of South Trenton, and Karen R. Brinkerhoff and Kirk, of Boonville; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews that he greatly loved. He was predeceased by his father in 1993, his mother in 2004, and a brother, Kip, in 2007. His family wishes to offer a heartfelt thank you and their sincere appreciation to the staff of the ICU at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare for the kind and compassionate care which Ted received. Funeral services will be Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street, Boonville and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Constableville, where the Rev. Lawrence Marullo, pastor will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Town of Leyden. Calling hours are Wednesday at 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor House of Rochester, Inc., at P.O. Box 18268, Rochester, NY 14618. Harbor House is a residence for out-of-town family members with loved ones who are hospitalized for transplant procedures at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
