Boonville- Terry A. Planck, 52, of Thayer Hill Road, husband of Cindy, an employee of Ocuto Blacktop and Paving Co., Rome, passed away suddenly, on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, from injuries he sustained while felling a tree at his camp. Terry was born in Constableville, on March 12, 1959, a son of Lowis B. and Erma Gydesen Planck. He grew up on the Planck family homestead farm on the Fish Creek Road, near Constableville, and attended Constableville Elementary School, graduating from South Lewis Senior High School, Turin, with the Class of 1977. On December 2, 1978, Terry was united in marriage with Cindy L. Cavanaugh, at St. Mary's Church, West Leyden. This was a blessed and loving union that endured for 33 years. In 1986, the couple constructed their present home on Thayer Hill Road. For one year, Mr. Planck was employed at Snow Ridge Ski Area, Turin, during the Summer of 1978, he was employed for Robert Miller Blacktop Co., Prospect, from 1979, until December, 1997, he was employed as a foreman at Wayne Paving Co. Inc., Rome, followed by employment at Rome Cable Corp. Rome, from 1997, until March of 2003. From May, 2003, until the present, he was employed as heavy equipment operator and supervisor at Ocuto Blacktop & Paving Co., Rome. He enjoyed deer hunting, raccoon hunting, liked beagle dogs, snowmobiling, four wheeling, playing cards, going to auctions, and fixing up smashed cars. Terry especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Terry greatly loved and cherished each and every one in his family. In addition to his wife, Cindy, Terry is survived by three sons: Daniel T. and his wife, Michelle, Boonville, Eric J. and his wife, Mallory, Constableville, and Lee D. at home; his mother, Erma, Constableville; five beloved grandchildren: Tracy, D. Hunter, Wyatt, Gracie Mae, and Donny; five sisters: Karen Gilbert, Utica, Cynthia (Mark) Dorrity, Port Leyden, LouAnne (Sean) Ripp, Sackets Harbor, Tina (Ron) Seavy, Marcy, and Marilyn Yancey, and her fiance Frank, Lowville. He was predeceased by his father, Lowis on January 7, 2001, and by his brother, Eric H. on April 27, 1975. His Funeral will be Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church, Constableville, where Rev. Lawrence Marullo, pastor, will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment in the Spring will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Constableville. Calling hours are Thursday 6-9 P.M. and Friday 1-4 & 6-9 P.M. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
