Stephen Denslow, 61 of East Road Boonville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday May 12, 2020 at Lowville hospital after a brief stay. Stephen was born in Constableville, NY on September 30, 1958. He graduated from South Lewis Junior/Senior High School with the class of 1976 and attended BOCES for Autobody. Stephen was employed at Great American, local farms, Ethan Allen and Adirondack Cycle & Snow. Stephen also served as Justice of the Peace for the Town of Leyden and was a member and flagman for the Northern New York Vintage Snow Sled Racers Snowmobile Club. He was united in marriage to Diana Bartlett on September 6, 2008 and they resided on East Road in Boonville. Diana was a great comfort to him and the love of his life. Stephen's favorite pastime was listening to Kenny Youngs and old country music. His favorite song was "Green, Green Grass of Home." He helped organize and was always excited for the East Road Picnics and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He also enjoyed hunting, attending the car shows at Freddy's Diner, going to local dances, cheating at board games and playing kickball with his nieces and nephews. Stephen had a huge heart for animals, especially dogs and his vintage car a Dodge Coronet. He is survived by his wife Diana, his mother Mary Denslow, three sisters - Karen (Bob) Kapfer, Dorinda (Jerry) Fruin , all of Boonville; Carol (Patrick) Casey, Ozark, Alabama and brother Dale (Cindy) Denslow, Port Leyden. Steven leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews whom he loved, cherished dearly. He was predeceased by his father Donald "Pete" Denslow, June 1, 2009. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Port Leyden Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
