Lyons Falls- Stephen M. Biro, Jr. 64, a longtime resident of Cherry St., passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at the Adira Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Yonkers, NY, after a brief illness.
Stephen was born in Constableville, on September 23, 1958, a son of the late Stephen M. and Dorothy O’Brien Biro, Sr. He grew up on Thayer Hill Road, Town of Leyden and attended Constableville Elementary School, before graduating from South Lewis High School, Turin. Afterwards Mr. Biro was employed for Lewis County ARC, Lowville, for many years.
He greatly enjoyed bowling, auto racing, fishing and mini bike riding.
Stephen is survived by three children, Kathleen Biro and her significant other, Jake Mooney, Watertown, Dorothyann Hill (Allen) Alder Creek and Stephen M. Biro, III, Lowville; grandchildren, Jeremiah Hill, Colton Mooney and Damien Mooney; two brothers, Patrick (Barbara) Biro, Frankfort, Timothy (Jeriann) Biro, Port Leyden and one sister, Dorothy Keyes, Utica, several nieces and nephews and his beloved feline friend, “Rufus.”
He was predeceased by his parents Stephen and Dorothy Biro and a grandson Bryan Anthony Hill.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 1:00 P.M., at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where calling hours are also Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the services. Memorial contributions may be made to ARC Oneida-Lewis Chapter, 245 Genesee St. Utica, NY 13501.
