Stephanie Ann 'Steph' Harvey

March 20, 1950 — July 21, 2015

Lansdale, Pennsylvania - Stephanie Ann Harvey, 65, passed away on July 21, 2015. She was born in Boonville, on March 20, 1950, the daughter of Robert E. and Leona M. Thomas Harvey. She was one of three children. She graduated from Adirondack Central School in 1968, received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from SUNY Potsdam in 1974 and her Masters of Divinity from The Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, PA in 1991. Stephanie was employed as a Case Worker and volunteered in various churches, as well as Alcoholics Anonymous prior to becoming disabled. She continued her quest for learning throughout her life. She taught herself a rare form of Hebrew to assist a theological team in translating a unique Hebrew translation of the Old Testament. Stephanie was also interested in and proficient in personal computers from their emergence. In her youth, Stephanie was an avid golfer and competed in NYS Junior tournaments. She loved the outdoors - hunting, fishing and vacationing at Big Moose Lake in the Adirondack Park. Her pet cats, Quill and Inky, meant a great deal to her and provided continuing comfort during her multiple battles with cancer. Surviving are two brothers: Robert E. (Karen) Harvey Jr. and David R. (Rhea) Harvey; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving are Carol Pullman Harvey who was united in marriage to Robert E. Sr. and two aunts: Mrs. Betty Young and Mrs. Barbara Schweinsberg. Family was very important to Stephanie with news about her relatives being one of her greatest pleasures. A remembrance by family and friends will be celebrated in the banquet room at Freddy's Diner in Boonville, NY on Friday, September 11, 2015. Calling hours will commence at 11:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service to celebrate her life. All are invited to a buffet luncheon immediately following. A private interment will be at the Prospect Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Stephanie Ann Harvey to Abington Hospice, Abington Health Center-Willow Grove, Suite #250, 2510 Maryland Road, Willow Grove, Pennsylvania 19090, or to the Ridley Park United Methodist Church, 501 North Swathmore Avenue, Ridley Park Pennsylvania 19078.
