Boonville- Spencer E. "Dick" Trenham, 83, of Old West Leyden Road, a long time dairy farmer, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011, at St. Luke's Nursing Home, New Hartford. Dick was born in Talcottville, on August 9, 1927, a son of Spencer E. and Ola Reinhuber Trenham. He grew up on his parents farm on Old West Leyden Road, and attended the Hines Road Rural School. On August 18, 1946, he was united in marriage with Augusta "Gussie" Betsinger, in Rome. After their marriage the couple settled on a farm on the Golden Road in the Town of Leyden. They purchased the former Reinhuber Farm, near Boonville, in 1958, moving to that location in 1973. Dick greatly enjoyed operating the dairy farm with his wife, Gussie, and their family. Mrs. Trenham died on March 25, 2010. For over thirty years Mr. Trenham was a school bus driver, first for West Leyden Central School, retiring from Adirondack Central School District, Boonville. He is survived by one son, John W. Boonville. He was predeceased by a daughter, Bonnie on April 29, 1998, and by a son Spencer "Skip" Trenham, III, on May 28, 2003. Also surviving are six sisters in law; Helen Spraque, Moberly, MO, Mary Kowalik, Boonville, Mabel (Hugh) Trainor, East Palestine, OH, Thelma Iseneker, Boonville, Rose (James) Longway, Constableville, and Peggy Kafka, Boonville. He was predeceased by a sister in law, Carol Washburn. His Funeral will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where Rev. William A. Mudtge, pastor of the Boonville Untied Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Boonville Cemetery. Visitation hours are Thursday and Friday 4-8 PM.
