Boonville - Sharon K. Breen, 68, of Erwin Street passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford after a short illness. She was born in Port Leyden on December 14, 1940 to Dennis and Mary Dean Quinn. Sharon grew up in Port Leyden and attended Port Leyden High School. For many years she was employed as a manager for convenience stores in Boonville and Lowville and as head housekeeper and breakfast cook at Headwaters Motor Lodge of Boonville. Mrs. Breen worked as a breakfast cook at The Beeches in Rome before retiring in 1999. Sharon was firmly anchored in the Catholic faith and was a devoted member of St. Joseph's Church in Boonville. She was united in marriage with Brian N. Breen on April 8, 1999. Her husband, children, and grandchildren were the love and great hobbies of her life. She and Brian enjoyed traveling throughout New York State and making occasional trips to Florida. They liked to travel to some distant point in NYS for breakfast, and then travel on to yet another for lunch. These last several years of her life provided Sharon with much joy and happiness. In addition to her husband, Sharon is survived by her three children, Debra Morgan and her husband, Kenny, of Nicholls, GA, Charles Kline and his wife, Rebecca, and Amy Roberts and her husband, Brian, all of Boonville; seven grandchildren, Ryan Kolenda, Bryan Kolenda and his wife, Jessica, Rebecca Roberts, Christopher Roberts, Dakota Kline, Brent Kline, and Jaidyn Kline; and two sisters, Margaret Samson and Rosella Wason. She was predeceased by a brother, Bernard Quinn. Also surviving are her beloved pets, Ricky her dog, whom she enjoyed taking for walks, and two cats. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. St. Joseph's Church in Boonville, where the Reverend Donald H. Karlen, retired pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Boonville. Calling hours are Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street, Boonville.
