Whitesboro- Sarah Marie Johnston, 33, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, July 24, 2020. Sarah was born in Rome, on November 24, 1986, a daughter of Dale E. and Ann Lawrence Johnston. She grew up in Forestport, where she attended Forestport Elementary School, later graduating from Adirondack High School, Boonville. Thereafter Sarah furthered her education at University of Phoenix, AZ, where she earned an Associate's Degree in Business Management and Psychology, then continuing her studies in the same subject at a Bachelor Degree level. For many years Sarah was employed as an on-call representative for Triple A in Utica, NY. Sarah possessed a heart of gold; she was a very loving person, who looked for ways to help others, volunteering and recently making bands for people to wear for protection during the Corona virus. Sarah always showed an exceptional degree of compassion for others who were suffering. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her fianc, Joseph, her children and family, as well time spent with loved ones at North Lake and White Lake. She also loved spending time at ocean beaches. Sixteen years ago she met Joseph Ford, Sr. who became her finance and the love of her life. In addition to Joseph, Sarah is survived by two sons, Joseph Ford, Jr. and Zachary Ford, both at home; her parents, Dale and Ann Johnston, Forestport and maternal grandmother, Beatrice (Wandover) Lawrence, Sr. Herkimer. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Katherine (Schuyler) and Carl Johnston and her maternal grandfather, William Lawrence. Also surviving are two brothers and sisters in law, Dale, Jr. and Chris Johnston, Stanwix Heights, Eric and Jennifer Lawrence, Boonville; several aunts and uncles and nieces; Brianna, Elizabeth and Ashley and was predeceased by a nephew, Lucas William Lawrence and by a very special cousin, Nick Lawrence. Also surviving are nephews; Kyle, Nash, Memphis and several hundred cousins. She leaves behind a very special childhood friend, Jamilee Maricle and her fiance's parents, Cathy and Ronald Ford and Joe's sister, Sheri and Pete Kravec. In keeping with Sarah's wishes a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of her family at Ingham's Mills Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
