Constableville- Ryan Patrick Flansburg, 25, of Main Street, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019. Ryan was born in Lowville, on October 3, 1993, a son of Courtney Schleicher. He grew up in Constableville, receiving his education at Constableville Elementary School, before graduating from South Lewis Senior High School, Turin, with the Class of 2012. While in Junior and Senior High School, Ryan excelled at wrestling and wrestled at the varsity level from 8th grade through his senior year. He attended many sectional wrestling contests and also threw the shot put on the South Lewis Track Team. He was first employed at Nirvana Water Co., Boonville. Since October, 2017, he was employed at Boondocks Restaurant and Bar, Lyons Falls, where he was presently one of the restaurant managers. He was an avid reader and greatly enjoyed a long time interest in the Viking people and Norwegian heritage and folklore. Ryan also was an avid outdoorsman; at the present time he was pursuing a goal of becoming an Adirondack 46er. In addition to his mother, Courtney and step father, Harold Seeloff, II, of Port Leyden, Ryan is survived by his father, Mark Sullivan, Constableville; a brother and sister in law, Mitchell (Kate) Sullivan, Ft. Drum; a sister, Hailee Sullivan, Port Leyden; two step brothers, Taylor and Dylan Seeloff, both Lyons Falls; his maternal grandfather, David Wendt, Constableville, maternal grandfather, Garry Schleicher and his companion, Melissa Raymond, Durhamville, his maternal great grandparents, Gordon and Joyce Schleicher, Boonville and paternal step grandparents, Harold and DeEtta Seeloff, Lyons Falls; aunts and uncles, Valerie and A.J. Engel, Lyons Falls, Felicia and Jeffrey Birgenheier, Brooklyn, Kimberly and John Tengel, Boonville, Andrew and Sonia Wendt, Constableville, Michael and Katrina Sullivan and Chris Sullivan, all Constableville, Betsy and Randy Baker, Binghamton and Judy Warfel, Scottsville, VA and several cousins and many close friends, as well as his Boondocks family. Ryan was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Patricia Wendt, in 2016 and by his paternal grandparents, Edward and Verna Sullivan. His Funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with interment to follow in Rural Cemetery, Constableville. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Constableville Fire Department P.O. Box 438, Constableville, NY 13325.
