Ruth M. Flint, 78, of Schuyler Street, wife of Wallace S. Flint, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 22, 2007, at St. Lukeï¿(TM)s Memorial Hospital, New Hartford. Ruth was born March 21, 1929, a daughter of Walter and Elzbeth Wode Hoffman, in Old Tappan, NJ, where she grew up and attended school. On July 20, 1963 she was united in marriage with Wallace S. Flint in Harrington, NJ. The couple moved to Hillsdale, NJ in 1963 and in 2001 moved to their present home in Boonville. Ruth was very devoted to her family, and will sadly be missed by all. She was always there for anyone who needed her, without hesitation. She enjoyed crocheting and needlework, loved cats, and was an excellent cook. "She was the best wife a guy could have." In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters: Linda Sue and husband John Hennessey of Boonville, Christine and husband Ivan Crespo of Torrington, CT, and Eileen Celauro of Hillsdale, NJ; three sons: Edward Harry Berger and wife Denise of Wausau, WI, Robert Berger and wife Cindy of New Windsor, and Walter Berger and wife Janet of Hillsdale, NJ; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother: Fred Hoffman and wife Janet of Blauvelt; two sisters-in-law: Marge Larrivey and Mrs. Harry (Jean) Capron of Boonville; and one brother-in-law: David and wife Honey Flint of Franklin. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edwin and Herbert Hoffman, and one sister, Margaret Rau. The funeral service for Mrs. Flint will be at Thursday at the Trainor Funeral Home, 143 Schuyler St., Boonville. Interment will follow in Boonville Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Boonville Ambulance, Inc., P.O. Box 164, Boonville, NY 13309.
