Taberg ï¿" Ruth E. Nunhaver, 87, of Lee Center-Taberg Road, widow of Carlton G. "Red" Nunhaver, passed away Friday, July 6, 2007, at the Eastern Star Nursing Home, Oriskany, where she resided since December 2003. Ruth was born in the Town of Lee, a daughter of Forest W. and Marion Wood Hall. She spent most of her life in the Town of Lee where she attended rural school. On June 29, 1941 she was united in marriage with Carlton G. Nunhaver in Glenfield, and the couple moved to their home on the Lee Center-Taberg Road. Mr. Nunhaver died May 17, 1984. Mrs. Nunhaver was a member of the Lee Center United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women of Lee Center, Lake Delta Chapter #590 Order of the Eastern Star, and Lee Unity Senior Citizens. She is survived by two daughters: Kay Wendt of Oneida, and Mrs. John (Faith) Giglio of Palm Bay, FL; one son: Dale C. Nunhaver of Taberg; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother: Donald N. and wife Betty Hall of Point Rock; one niece and several nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Nunhaver will be at 10 am Monday at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut St., Rome, with Rev. Debra Wollaber, Pastor of Lee Center United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Lee State Road Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 3 to 7 pm Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Star Nursing Home, 8290 State Route 69, Oriskany, NY 13424. Arrangements are in the care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Boonville.
