Constableville- Roy J. Duncan, 50, of West Road, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, while under the loving care of his family, on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Roy was born in Utica, on July 3, 1967, a son of John L. and Annette M. Burmingham Duncan. He grew up on the West Road, between Constableville and Turin, attending Constableville Elementary School, before graduating from South Lewis Senior High School, with the Class of 1985. While in high school, he enjoyed participating on the wrestling team. The major love of Roys life was dairy farming. As a youth he began his dairy farming career by working on the Scott Markham Farm on the West Road. After graduating from high school, Roy relocated to Pavilion, NY (Genesee County) where he was employed for many years in various departments of Noblehurst Dairy Farms, reaching the position of herdsman. In October, 2001, Roy was seriously injured in an automobile accident and forced to retire at that time. Thereafter he resided at his parents home on West Road. Roy enjoyed cars, bowling and card playing. In addition to his father, John, of Constableville, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Kim M. (John) Siegel, Brantingham and Mrs. Alice C. (Eric) Gokey, Glenfield. He was predeceased by his mother, Annette M. Duncan, on August 5, 1998. He is also survived by two nephews, Christopher and Michael Siegel; four nieces, Miranda (Drew) Skiff, Miriah Gokey, Annette Gokey and Laci Gokey; two great nieces, Ella Patterson and Hattie Skiff. There will be no public calling hours or services. Memorial contributions maybe made to Constableville Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 438, Constableville, NY 13325. His arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville.
