Rosemary L. Hudon

May 24, 1937 — January 28, 2025

Remsen, New York

Remsen – Rosemary Ledger Hudon was born in Ticonderoga, NY on May 24, 1937. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Omer, son Mark, and daughters Suzanne and Rena. She was predeceased by three sons, Joseph Omer, Joseph Anthony, and Scott Pierre. She passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on January 28, 2025.

Rosemary worked for many years in banking, serving as a teller in Old Forge, NY and Wells, Maine. She then spent many years as a customer support representative at the Bank of America call center in Utica, until her retirement.

Rosemary’s pride and joy were her children. She always had their best interests at heart. She also loved watching her birds all winter long and was so excited to have a pair of cardinals come to stay. Rosemary also loved her dogs, Meggie and Opie whom I am sure greeted her at the gates of heaven. Meggie with a “woo, woo, woo” and Opie with a ball in her mouth.

Rosemary was always up for a good party and would be the first person on the dance floor, usually with Uncle Danny Bolduc at family parties. She had a great sense of humor and had everyone in stitches up until the end. She endeared herself to the staff at Albany Med and they kept in touch until she said her last goodbye.

The family would like to thank Dr. Emil Wassel for 20 years of care and also Hospice & Palliative Care of New Hartford for their superior care and support in the last week of her life. Words cannot express the value of your service gave to us. She would also like to thank Kelly and Ray Bush for being her staunch supporters in the last months of her life.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Old Forge, in the spring with interment in Riverview Cemetery, Old Forge. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite animal shelter, charity or Hospice.
