Boonville- Rose May Williamson, 73, wife of Mike, passed away August 6, 2012, at the Lewis County Extended Care Facility, Lowville, with her loving family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Rose was born September 23, 1938 in Rome. She married Milford "Mike" Williamson, July 8, 1956 at the Westernville Presbyterian Church. She formerly had worked in offices and was a NY telephone operator. She was a member of Remsen XYZ Seniors. Surviving besides her husband Mike, are one son, Daniel (Jennifer) Williamson, Boonville, three daughters; Lore Stanford, Lowville, Linda (Kim) Young, and Lisa (Dale) Sullivan both of Boonville; five granddaughters; Trisha Menard; Mallory (Peter) Jackson; Holly Stanford; Amy Tanner, and Jennifer Young; three step-grandchildren: Andrew Sullivan; Carrie Sullivan; and Johnathan Fruin. Three great-grandchildren: Avery, Logan, and Madalyn. Also surviving are one sister, Martha (Rev. Dwight) Shanley, Little Rock, AR; her brother John (Dorothy) Nestle, Westernville, nieces and nephews. In keeping with her wishes there will be no public calling hours or funeral services, a private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation was done at the Waterville Crematory. Memorial donations may be made to the Boonville Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box #164, Boonville, NY, or to the Lewis County Extended Care Facility, Resident Activities Fund, 7785 North State Street, Lowville, New York 13367. Rose's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks, to the many family and friends who visited Rose during her illness, and also to the 2nd floor staff of the hospital and nursing home for the care given to Rose in her time of need. Her arrangements have been entrusted to the Trainor Funeral Home, 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
