Boonville- Ronald F. Bartelotte, 60, passed away suddenly at his residence of natural causes on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. Ron was born on November 6, 1959, in Constableville, a son of Forrest and Marilyn Grems Bartelotte. He grew up on Woodgate Drive, in Boonville and graduated from Adirondack Central School, with the Class of 1977. He attended one year of college at Mohawk Valley Community College before being accepted into the IBEW Local 181, apprentice program in 1978. Ron had a long career as an electrician in the Union, and he was a foreman on many jobs. For over 5 years, Ron worked as an electrician through the Union at Nine Mile 2 in Oswego, NY. Ron was instrumental in doing the electrical construction of the windmills located on Tug Hill and in construction of Walmart Distribution Centers throughout New England. After over 15 years with O'Connell Electric, Ron retired in 2015. Ron was married to Michelle Deshaies on August 3, 1984. They were high school sweethearts. Ron and Michelle had traveled throughout the United States to watch Nascar or NHRA Drag Races. They raised their family and enjoyed their home on Ford St. especially for the fair, snowmobile races and the Woodsmen's Field Days. Ron was a member of Charles J. Love Post 406, American Legion, Boonville, Boonville Elks Lodge, Knights of Columbus, IBEW Local 43 and an honorary member of the Boonville Search and Rescue. Ron was a member of Christ Our Hope Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially spending time with his family. Ron was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Deshaies Bartelotte; his son, Christopher Bartelotte, Rochester, his daughter, Amanda (Erik) Sorensen, Rochester, his beloved granddaughter, Amelia Isabella Sorensen; his parents, Marilyn and Forrest Bartelotte, Boonville; his sisters Renee (Bob) Lockwood, Manchester, Ct. and Eileen Gydesen (Rod Backer), Boonville and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and family. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Harry and Eleanor Grems, and Joseph and Dorothy Bartelotte, along with his father in law, James "Barney" Deshaies. Ron also leaves behind his three cats which he loved very much. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, August 31, 2020, at 11 a.m. St. Joseph's Church, Boonville. In keeping with Ron's wishes, there will be no public calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Spring Care Farms, 3364 State Rt. 12, Clinton, NY 13323 or to Central Association for the Visually Impaired, 507 Kent Street, Utica, NY 13501. His arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville.
