Robert A. Sessions

Port Leyden - Robert Allen “Bob” Sessions, 91 passed away December 11, 2024 at Wynn Hospital, Utica NY. The son of John and Edna (Hall) Sessions. Robert was born October 13, 1933 in the town of Leyden. He graduated from the Port Leyden Central High School with the Class of 1952. Robert served in the United States Navy from 1953 until 1962. He worked for twenty-one years with the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation in the Bureau of Wildlife.

Robert is survived by his brothers and sister-in-laws: David (Eva) Sessions and Merle Lyndon (Susan) Sessions. Nephews and nieces Jeff (Barbara) Sessions; James Sessions; Neil (Amanda Capron) Sessions; Krista (Nate Loughlin) Sessions, great nieces Vikki and Beckii Sessions and a great nephew Ethan Sessions.

He was predeceased by his parents, a sister Sally Ann Sessions and his longtime companion Barbara Franz.

In keeping with Robert’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services. Funeral arrangements are with the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, NY. Memorial contributions in Bob’s name can be made to the Port Leyden Cemetery Assn., PO Box 218, Port Leyden, NY 13433.
