Blauvelt- Robert K. Berger, 61, of N. Moison Rd, Blauvelt, (Rockland Co. NY) passed away suddenly, on Sunday, October 30, 2011, at the home of his cousin, Holly Siegel, of Woodgate Dr. Boonville. He was born in Hackensack, NJ on August 31, 1950, a son of Edward H. and Ruth M. Hoffman Berger. Robert grew up in vicinty of Rockland Co., graduating from Pascack Valley High School, Hillsdale, NJ with the Class of 1968. After that he furthered his education attending Bergen Co. Community College, at Paramus, NJ. He was first employed at Medical Economics in New Jersey as a printer, before his long time and current employment as corridonator of the print procurement Department for Mercedes Benz USA Co. of Montvale, NJ. On February 14, 1987, Robert was married to Cindy Stole, in New City, NY; after that the couple lived in Blauvelt, before moving to Cornwall, where they resided for twenty four years. Mr. Berger greatly enjoyed visitng his loved ones in the Boonville area. He was talented at carpentery, an after work activity he greatly enjoyed. He passionatley enjoyed photography. He is survived by his wife, Cindy, Cornwall; one daughter, Stephanie Berger, one son, R.J. Berger, both Cornwall; a grandson, Daniel Joseph Berger, two brothers, Edward Harry (Denise) Berger, Wisconsin, Walter (Janet) Berger, Hillsdale, NJ; three sisters, Susan (John) Hennessey, Christine Crespo, all of Boonville, and Eileen Celauro, Hillsdale, NJ, his step father, Wally Flint, Boonville, nieces, nephews, cousins and one special cousin, Holly Siegel. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Edward Berger, and Ruth Berger Flint. His services will be held privately on Friday at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
