Boonville- Robert I. Schulman, 74, of Gosling IRA Center, North Post St. Boonville, passed away peacefully, while under the loving care of his caregivers and friends on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at the Gosling Center, Boonville. Affectionately known as "Bobby," he was born in the Bronx, New York City, on June 26, 1945, a son of Jack and Fay Schulman. In 1984, Bobby moved to the Rome area, later moving to Dolgeville, where he lived for many years, before moving to his present home in Boonville, in January of 2008. Bobby was a good natured gentleman who possessed an outgoing personality. He attended Schoonmaker Day Hab in Boonville. Bobby enjoyed collecting radios and coins and was famous for his sweet tooth; enjoying cotton candy, ice cream and Halloween candy. Bobby enjoyed listening to music of all kinds and had a lifelong dream to visit California; one of his favorite songs was "California here I Come." Bobby enjoyed celebrating all holidays and sitting outside on a swing during the summer months. Bobby will also be fondly remembered for his keen sense of humor and love of a good joke. Bobby was loved by many and his smile would light up a room. Bobby was from a family of his parents and two brothers; Jerry and Larry Schulman. Services will be private at Trainor Funeral Home, 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with a later interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Town of Lee. There are no calling hours.
