Robbie Hartley, 21, of Denley Road, passed away suddenly of Sunday, February 12, 2006, of injuries from an automobile accident on the Norton Road near Boonville. Robbie was born in Lowville, on May 30, 1984, a son of Darrell G. and Anne M. Bourgeois Hartley. He grew up on the Denley Road, attending Port Leyden Elementary School. While in elementary school he played farm team, and little league baseball. Robbie graduated from South Lewis High School in Turin with the Class of 2002. While in high school Robbie attended the Howard G. Sackett Boces Center in Glenfield, majoring in Electrical subjects. He also participated on the high school Football, Basketball and Track teams. After he graduated from high school, Robbie was employed with his father in the operation of their contracting business, Blue Valley Contracting Co., a firm that renovates and repairs post offices in the central and eastern New York state area. He was a member of St. Martinï¿(TM)s Church of Port Leyden. He enjoyed riding his four wheeler and repairing his friendsï¿(TM) four wheelers and snowmobiles. Recently he and his brother Nick repaired a Chapperal model snowmobile and on this past Saturday, a friend of Robbieï¿(TM)s entered the same in a snowmobile race at Elbridge, NY, where the snowmobile won the race. In addition to his parents, Darrell, and Anne, Robbie is survived by one sister, Mary Ann Hartley, Utica, two brothers; Nicholas Hartley, at home, Jason Hartley, Utica, his paternal grandparents; Arleigh and Irene Hartley, Lyons Falls, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and one niece; Christina Swernik, Martinsburg. Robbie was predeceased by his maternal grandparents; Donald and Avis Bourgeois. His Funeral will be Thursday at 9:45 A.M. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, and at 11:00 A.M. at St. Martinï¿(TM)s Church of Port Leyden, where Rev. Donald H. Karlen, Pastor of St. Josephï¿(TM)s Church of Boonville will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. A spring interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Port Leyden. Calling hours are Wednesday 2-4 & 6-9 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Port Leyden Fire Co. and Ambulance Fund.
