Richard C. Burlingame

February 23, 1930 — July 5, 2015

Castorland- Richard C. Burlingame, 85, formerly of Ridge Road, and more recently of the Weber Adult Home, Port Leyden passed away on July 5, 2015, at Lewis Co. Extended Care Facility, Lowville, where he was resided since April, 2015. He was born in Ithaca, on February 23, 1930, a son of Emmet and Ella L. Hoaglin Burlingame. Many years ago he relocated to the Lowville area, where he was united in marriage with Frances Gingerich, on October 6, 1951. For over 40 years, Mr. Burlingame was employed at Climax Manufacturing Co., Castorland, later retiring as Plant Supervisor at the Lowville plant. Mrs. Burlingame, a twenty five year employee at Climax, died on April 18, 1998. He attended the Castorland Baptist Church, where he participated in singing Gospel music. He also greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting. Richard is survived by a son, Richard G. of Texas and a daughter, Jodi, Florida and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Castorland Union Cemetery, Church St. Castorland, on Friday, October 16, 2015, at 1 P.M., where Rev. Brian Catlin will officiate. There are no calling hours. His arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville
