Renee M. Croniser, 49, of State Rt. 12D, (Locust Grove,) passed away suddenly at her residence on Tuesday, December 18, 2007. Her death was attributed to a heart attack. Renee was born on April 29, 1958, a daughter of Robert E. and Irene S. "Sally" Kazek Croniser. She grew up on her parents farm in Locust Grove, and graduated from South Lewis High School, Turin, with the Class of 1976. Thereafter Renee entered the U.S. Army, where she was stationed in the United States, South Korea and the Philippines, receiving her honorable discharge in 1980. After her service to her country, she furthered her education by attending Utica College, where she received an associates degree, majoring in Computer Technology. For many years until the present time, Renee was employed for the Department of Defense in Rome, as a supervisor of the Accounts Payable Certification Department. In 1979, Renee was married to Paterino DelosSantos in South Korea. He passed away in 1980. One of her greatest joys and talents in life was singing, music, and the theater. While in high school she was a member of the chorus, and was selected to attend All State Vocal Music Competition. She also participated in several high school Broadway musical productions. While in college, she furthered her activities in music and theater. For many years she enjoyed singing in the choir at St. Martinï¿(TM)s and St. Johnï¿(TM)s Churches of Port Leyden, and Lyons Falls. For several years she also enjoyed participating in Americaï¿(TM)s Greatest Heart Run and Walk. She was of the Catholic faith. Renee is survived by one daughter, Santina R. Croniser, Chicago, her parents, Robert and Sally Croniser, Locust Grove, three brothers and sisters in law; John S. Croniser and Laurie, Boonville, Randal R. Croniser and Jane, Wolcott, Eric J. Croniser and Amanda, Locust Grove, two sisters and brothers in law; Cynthia M. and David Pritchard, Jr., Beth A. and Douglas McManus, both of Boonville, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Her Funeral will be Friday at 10:00 A.M. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, and at 11:00 A.M. at St. Martinï¿(TM)s Church, Port Leyden, where Rev. Stephen Gratto, pastor will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Port Leyden. Calling hours are Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home, where members of the Boonville Fire Company, and the Ladies Auxiliary will meet in a group on Thursday at 7:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Port Leyden Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, or to the American Heart Association @ Heart Gifts Processing Center P.O.Box 3049 Syracuse, NY 13320-3049.
