Ramona J. Kirk

Boonville – Ramona J. Kirk, 68, of Main Street, passed away in the comfort of her home on Monday, January 16, 2023, while under the loving care of her children.

She was born on November 22, 1954, a daughter of Aubrey and Ethel Fruin Van Aernam. She grew up in the vicinity of Boonville, and was a graduate of Adirondack High School. She was married to Ronald Kirk, and although they divorced, she was blessed with the birth of her six children. Ramona cherished her role as mother and caretaker of her home, where she lovingly raised her children. Time spent with her family was what brought her great joy.

Ramona is survived by her daughters: Patricia Osbourne of Vermont, and Jessica (David) Cook, Rome; her sons: Hank Kirk, Boonville, Russell Kirk, Rome, Ronald Kirk, Westernville, and Travis Kirk, Boonville, she is also survived by 12 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents.

Graveside services will be held in the spring in Boonville Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
