Ralph A. Kraeger, 45, of 3040 Hottovy Lane, a former resident of Williams Road, Steuben, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2007, at Bryan LGH Medical Center, from injuries received in an industrial accident on May 13, 2007. A native of Constableville, NY., Ralph was born on October 10, 1961, a son of William J. Kraeger and the late Nancy J. Miller Kraeger. He grew up on the Kraeger homestead farm in the town of Steuben, and graduated from Holland Patent High School with the Class of 1980. While in high school he studied Ag Mechanics at Oneida Madison BOCES in New Hartford. After graduation he was employed for Leggs International Dealership of Herkimer, and then as a equipment mechanic for the Jones Dairy Farm of Rome. On October 21, 1989, Ralph was united in marriage with Tracey A. Thomas, at the Barneveld United Methodist Church, where Rev. Barbara Beaudry officiated. After their marriage the couple setteled in their A frame home on South Main St., Remsen. They moved to Raymond, Nebraska, in 1997. Since 1997, Mr. Kraeger was employed as an assembly line technician for LENCO, Inc., a plastic manufacturing company located in Waverly, NE. In addition to his wife, Tracey, of Raymond, NE., he is survived by two daughters; Stephanie R. Kraeger, Victoria C. Kraeger, both at home, his father, William J. Kraeger, Herkimer, three brothers and sisters in law; Hobart and Jean Kraeger, Steuben, Samual and Arlene Kraeger, Rome, James and Traci Kraeger, Rochester, three sisters and two brothers in law; Audrey Armstrong, Millersville, MD., Rebecca and Robert Olejarczyk, Newport, Gretchen and David Kent, Hubert, N.C. His mother, Nancy died on November 21, 2005. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He had a passion for antique farm machinery touring historical museums, traveling, family values, and studying policital issues. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 2, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Leoï¿(TM)s Church, Holland Patent, where Rev. Vincent Long, pastor will officiate. Interment will be in Steuben Valley Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, 7-9 P.M. and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Memorial contibutions may be made to an education fund for his daughters, in care of Mrs. Sarah Thomas, P.O. Box 153, Barneveld, NY 13304.
