Boonville- Peggy Lee Dale, 70, a long time resident of Kolasa Road, and wife of Brad, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at The Katherine Luther Skilled Nursing Facility in Clinton.
Peggy was born in Boonville, on February 5, 1953, a daughter of James Orin Andrews, Sr, and Beverly J. Martin Andrews. Most of her life was lived in Boonville, where she grew up and received her education, graduating from Adirondack Central School, with the Class of 1972. While in high school, Peggy attended the Howard G. Sacket Boces Center, of Glenfield, where she majored in cosmetology and hair dressing.
Peggy possessed the ability to brighten the setting of where ever she was and her smile and loving attitude made her an exceptional person for her years of employment as a pharmacy technician at Fay’s and later Eckerd Drug Stores, before many years of employment as bar tender at The Pub and Hulbert House, all in downtown Boonville.
On May 13, 1972, Peggy was united in marriage with Brad William Dale, at St. Joseph’s Church, Boonville.
She was of the Catholic faith and a member of Harland J. Hennessey Post VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Boonville.
Above all else, Peggy loved her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings and her extended family. In addition to her husband, Brad, Peggy is survived by her children; Jeannine McCanney and husband, Randy; Shauna Kent and husband, Joshua Kent and Jason Dale and wife, Jillian Dale; her five beloved grandchildren; David Abraham, Jr., Eli Kent, Colton Dale, Clayton Dale and Calvin Dale and three brothers; James Orin Andrews, Jr. Jeffrey Andrews and Michael Andrews, Jr.; sister in law and brother in law, Brenda (John) Gaylord and brother in law and sister in law, Rick (Michelle) Dale and many loving nieces and nephews and her beloved canine companion “Maggie Mae.”
Peggy was predeceased by her parents, Orin James and Beverly Jane Andrews, Sr., brother, Charles Andrews, sister, Linda Lampman, brother, Lawrence Andrews, brothers, William Andrews, a half-brother, Ronald Johnson and her mother and father in law, Gene and Kaz Dale.
In keeping with Peg’s wishes there will be no public calling hours, however a celebration of her life will be Saturday, November 4, 2023 beginning at 1:00 P.M. at Harland J. Hennessey Post V.F.W., Park Ave. Boonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Boonville Fire Department Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 164, Boonville, NY 13309. Her arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville.
