Boonville - Peggy Ann Corey, 70, widow of James, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Lewis County General Hospital, following a brief illness. Peggy was born in Lowville, a daughter of Norman Hoage and Evelyn Farr. She grew up in Rome, where she received her education. Peggy was employed for a time at Griffiss Air Force Base, Rome in the cafeteria as a cook, and later at Lolly Manufacturing, Port Leyden. She married Bill Munoz and together the couple resided in Westernville for many years. A second marriage to Dave Stanislawski ended in divorce. Peggy married Alfred James Corey on June 18, 1988 and together the couple resided in Copenhagen. Mr. Corey passed away on January 14, 2018. Peggy enjoyed hunting, Charlie Pride music, baking and ceramics. Peggy loved family gatherings and parties. The time spent with her family was cherished, and many hours were spent at the card table, laughing and playing games. Peggy is survived by her children: Ronnie (Rhonda) Munoz, Lyons Falls, Brenda Munoz, and Jennifer Munoz, both of Watertown, Melissa Stanislawski, and Christine (Nic Aman) Corey, Wilmington, NC, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, her siblings: Rita (Butch) Loomis, Port Leyden, Cindy (Brian) Heath, Westernville, Larry (Lucy) Green, Boonville, Darlene (Peter) DeFreitas, Donna (Pete) Kraeger, Port Leyden, and Tammy (Johnny) O'Brien, Boonville. She was predeceased by her sister Nancy Grabowski and brother Charles Kraeger. In keeping with Peggy's wishes there will be no calling hours. Interment in the spring will be in Calvary Cemetery, Port Leyden. Arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
