Pauline M. Seelman

Pauline M. (Getman) Seelman, 84, of James St., formerly of Sweeney Road, town of West Turin, widow of Norbert J, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Lewis Co. General Hospital, Lowville. She was born in the hamlet of Herrings, in Jefferson County, on April 23, 1928, a daughter of Ernest and Eva Bell Getman. As a child she moved to the Turin area with her family, where she attended school, later moving to Constableville, where she completed her education at Constableville High School. On February 8, 1947, Pauline was united in marriage with Norbert J. Seelman, at St. Mary's Church, West Leyden. Thereafter the couple settled on the Seelman homestead farm, on the Sweeney Road, near Constableville. Together they operated this dairy farm, until 1976, when they retired and moved to their home on James St. Mr. Seelman died on July 20, 1991. Mrs. Seelman was a member of St. Mary's Church, Constableville. She greatly enjoyed baking, crocheting and knitting. Pauline, most of all, loved her family. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Mrs. Eva Jedrich, on April 2, 2007. She is survived by her greatly loved and cherished grandchildren: Christopher J.B. Jedrich and his wife, Priscilla, Victor, NY and Jennifer L. Jedrich-Kerfien, and husband, Randy, Boonville; and great grandchildren, Ashley Jedrich, Jayden and Ty Kerfien, her son in law, Raymond Jedrich, Constableville; two brothers and sisters in law, Douglas (Patricia) Getman, Cooperstown and George (Lucille) Getman, Turin; and one sister, Gladys Pate, Croghan. Pauline had great love and appreciation for her nephew Stanley (Dean) Moxley and his wife, Cindy, of Constableville. In addition to her daughter, Pauline was predeceased by twin sisters, Dorothy Moxley and Doris Marlof, and by a brother, Donald Getman, her parents, and her step father, De Alton Cranker. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church, Constableville, where Rev. Lawrence Marullo, pastor will officiate. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Boonville, in the spring. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Constableville Fire Co. Ambulance Fund.
