Paul Jeffrey Muha

January 27, 1955 — April 7, 2024

Paul Jeffrey Muha, 69, of Boonville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the Abraham House in Rome, NY after a courageous battle with cancer. Paul was born in Constableville, NY on January 27, 1955, a son of the late John S. and Phyllis A. (Ward) Muha.

Paul attended South Lewis Central High School and entered the Army in 1972. He proudly served our country and was honorably discharged in 1975 and then served in the Army Reserves until 1978. Paul then worked in construction and on heavy equipment before starting his own business. Some of his work included painting water towers at Patrick AFB and old rockets at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. He owned and operated Paul’s Sand Blasting and Painting for over 40 years.

Paul had a love for radio-controlled aircraft and was a long-time member of the Steuben Red Barons RC Club which is chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics.

Paul had a love for animals and his dogs were considered his family. They would travel everywhere with him.

Paul is survived by his two brothers, Nathan Muha, Merritt Island, FL and Julian (Lisa) Muha, Boonville; and one nephew, Chad Muha, Merritt Island, FL. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Bertha Muha.

The family wishes to thank the hospice staff and caregivers at the Abraham House for their kindness given to Paul during his brief stay. They would also like to extend a special thank you to Shannon Carpenter for her devotion and compassion to Paul for the past several years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Constableville, where Rev. Daniel Chapin, from St. Mary's Church, Constableville, will preside and where members of Charles J. Love Post Amercian Legion, Harland J. Hennessey Post V.F.W. and The Tun Tavern Marine Corps League, all of Boonville, will provide Military Rites.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Abraham House-Rome, 417 N. Washington Street, Rome, NY 13440 or online at www.theabrahamhouse.org. His arrangements are in the care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville.
