Paul F. Yelton

Paul F. Yelton, Sr., 62, formerly of Boonville, and a longtime Greenwood Lake resident, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2006. He was born July 10, 1944 in Oneida, a son of Verle E. and Mildred Ida Weaver Yelton. Paul enjoyed his career as a bartender for over 42 years, formerly of Murphyï¿(TM)s Park Inn in Greenwood Lake. He was a member of the Harland J. Hennessey V.F.W. Post 5538, Boonville. Survivors include his loving, devoted companion of 20 years, Linda A. Miller McCombs of Greenwood Lake; his daughters: Holley A. Parker of Utica, and Ramona Harris of Nashville, TN; his son: Paul F. Yelton, Jr. of Hartford; six grandchildren; four sisters: Helen S. Abel, Mabel Young, Beverly Wheelock, and Shirley Dunn, all of Boonville; three brothers: Gordon Schleicher of Boonville, Verle E. Yelton, Jr. of Talcottville, Bernard Yelton of Collinsville; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Lamont Yelton on October 19, 1941, and his grandson, Timothy W. Parker on January 3, 1992. The funeral service for Mr. Yelton will be at 12:00 pm Saturday, October 28, 2006, at the Boonville First Baptist Church, Post Street, with Pastor Joe Feller officiating. Interment will follow in Boonville Cemetery. Calling hours are from 7 to 9 pm Friday at the Trainor Funeral Home, 143 Schuyler St., Boonville. Visitation was also held at the Strong-Basile Funeral Home, Greenwood Lake, on Thursday, October 26, 2006.
