Utica- Paul Douglas Clark, 56, formerly of Boonville, Port Leyden, and Beaver Falls, died at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital, New Hartford on July 21, 2016. The son of Richard A. and Karen Webster Clark, Paul grew up in Boonville, attending Adirondack Central School. His talents in music, art, and mechanics inspired many, and he was chosen often to play Taps at local military funerals. However, his options for a bright future were cut off by addiction, which he fought for the rest of his life. In spite of this struggle, Paul was able to progress through the levels of Emergency Medical Technician to become a Paramedic, serving as a volunteer with the Port Leyden Fire Company and professionally with various ambulance companies and medical flight organizations. A marriage to Genevieve Lawrence ended in divorce. Dawn Clark, Paul's wife by a second marriage, resides in Lowville, NY. Paul is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Aundrea Clark, and granddaughters, Samantha and Sarah (Liverpool, NY); daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and James Hogarth, and granddaughter, Kyah (Purley, UK); sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Jeff Moore (Dexter, NY), and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A memorial graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 9, at 3:00 pm in Port Leyden Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to CREDO Community Center, 595 W Main St, Watertown, NY 13601.
